Book Review: Girl on the Train

This is a book I think some goths will love. It is a macabre and sullen thriller set in England about voyeurism, obsession and love. I dived into this book and immediately couldn't put it down. Finished reading in a few days. I didn't have all the time in the world to read it usually if I do I can finish a book in a day but I have learned to take a breath and leave time for other things being the bookworm that I am. I hope some of you get a chance to read this book. It literally kept me on the edge of my seat til the very end. It was also extremely visually stimulating and made me want to ride trains more. It makes you think about the lives of others, how you view them, envy them and how others envy you. The grass is not always greener on the other side ;) 

Barnes and Noble haul

Recently I went to Barnes and Noble and found some really cool Game of Thrones themed journals and a rad Lord of the Rings sketchbook. Now I can look at Frodo every time I draw ;) 

Cheap gothic finds ebay!

I only paid twenty four dollars for this lovely gothic gown. I found it on ebay. I love ebay so much and if you keep looking you can find such great pieces. What I love about this is it was a vintage 90's goth dress. So lovely. This is something I would have seen advertised in Gothic Beauty when I was younger. I love this piece so much. I can wear it year round. I paired it with a purple cape. It reminded me a bit of a gothic Arwen. I got the choker for around 99 cents

Art show at Cafe Romanza

 Had an art showing at Cafe Romanza in Mountain View. I had some fun gothic pieces and fairie pen and inks for sale, plus a few jewelry pieces I assembled. It was a great time and we had a nice little turn out. Come out and support your local artists!

Goth book Reviews!

I had a hearty, healthy breakfast and sat down to check out my new books. The first thing I got was a really cool looking gothic coloring book. It is rad because the pages are thick and my markers don't bleed to the other side when I color on it. It is one of the coolest ideas ever and I hope they make another one. Coloring is very relaxing. There are cool cartoons to color like an Absynthe and fairie, a girl in a corset, bats and many other fun things to choose from. If you want to do something fun and interesting I recommend this for young and older goths. Encyclopedia gothica is really well done. I loved it! I did not expect it to be so thorough and have as many cool references as it did. It literally is a well thought out encyclopedia for goths. I couldn't have asked for more. I am happy with my purchases. I found these both on Amazon. I think there might be a few on ebay as well. 

Game of Thrones!

I can't wait for Game of Thrones Season 5. Someone gave me season one already and I got the rest of the seasons to rewatch them before season 5 starts. I am so excited!

Jack Skellington inspiration

I got this new makeup bag recently. It is so cute. I love all the detail in in. Jack inspires me with so much. I even married a super tall, thin guy. My husband makes fun of me but I finally got him to do a nightmare before christmas Jack and Sally cosplay a few years back with me. It was so fun!
