Nana Comics!

Nana comics by creator Ai Yazawa are some of my favorite comics ever. I am slowly but surely building my collection. I find most of these from ebay and amazon but some are gifts from my beloved friend. Nana follows the adventures of two women named Nana who are complete opposites and end up getting a flat together in Tokyo. There is music, fun clothing styles and I love all of their friends. My good friend looks a lot like one of their friends and he ended up getting me a few of these so that was sweet. I think you will love not only the fun story but also the aesthetics of the mangas. Let me know what some of your favorite manga series are in the comments. Much love to you. Fall is almost here!

Nana manga from various places, skeleton hand and rib cage figurines from Dollar Tree.

Currently reading December 2020

Current books that I am reading this month. I finished two and am starting on a third one today!

The rules of attraction is a fun book. The movie is rad too.

The Stranger in Our Home: I definitely did not expect the ending haha. I really enjoy thrillers and books that have a lot of mystery to them.
Autumncrow: This is a fun book of scary short stories and all of them revolve around a town called Autumn Crow. Fun read especially during holidays.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child book party!

When I heard Keplers was doing a book party for the new Harry Potter book. I had to go! I can't wait to read it. IT was a total blast and I made some new cool friends. Enjoy the pics!!

Tea Leaf reading.

Of course a Harry Potter party wouldn't be complete without Bellatrix!

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire movie night

For the Goblet of Fire movie night since it focused on the tri wizard tournament I created my house into a big Hogwart's dormitory. It was a lot of fun to do and it wasn't very hard since I have quite a few witchcraft books , capes and candles lying around. I decided to use them for decorations and to add a little extra wizard flare. I went to Rocket Fizz in Palo Alto to pick up Harry Potter themed candies like chocolate frogs and candy slugs among other things. I passed out business cards to some of my favorite gothic style shops as well. Guests dined on healthy snacks and dips, gluten free pizza and I served organic, sparkling juice with labels like "polyjuice potion."

To add a bit more of Hogwart's dorm life I placed capes around and socks with different houses on them like Ravenclaw, Slytherin, Gryffindor etc. I also placed their uniforms on hangers and hung them beside brooms and scarves. I put Harry's tie on the mantle piece, Luna Love good's radish earrings and glasses on the table beside the candy. I created an atmosphere to look like young wizards were relaxing after a long study session to cram for their potion's tests the next day. It was a lot of fun and hopefully you can draw some inspiration from my decorations.

Portland Saturday Market

Portland Saturday market was awesome. There were a lot of boho type items, jewelry, loads of food and a few cool gothic items. I even found a lady selling handmade jack and sally boho/goth bags haha I have never heard of hippie goth but if it exists this was it lol. It was actually pretty cool. There was a guy selling some cool gothic goblets, nerdy awesomeness like Link's shield from legend of zelda and a really amazing street performer who managed to put himself through a tennis racket and later balanced while juggling sharp knives with the tennis racket still around him. He must have been double jointed or something! I have never seen anyone do that. It was a great day. If you find yourself in Portland check out the Saturday market. So rad!
