December 2019

It has been a fun Autumn and Winter. Won a Dr. Seuss Christmas tree with all the presents underneath! My husband and I went to dinner at Madonna Inn and hung out later and made gingerbread houses with his family. They are all Swedish and Danish and Norwegian so they love baking yummy treats during Yule and Christmas. It is our favorite time of year besides Halloween. Do you have any fun traditions in December you do with your loved ones?

December 2013

Winter is one of my favorite times of year. I celebrate Yule with my family. My big wolf dog loves the colder months. She runs around in the wind and enjoys more walks during this time. I love all the delicious winter and holiday brews they have at my favorite beer and wine stores. It is indeed fun to spend holiday time with my family and friends and I have so much to be thankful for. My mom has been sick lately so I like to visit her in the hospital and she comes home soon. I am very excited about this and hope she can feel better soon.

December they come out with some of my favorite teas and I enjoy to make beet stew with my husband and eat a lot of rye during these months. Beer and rye keeps me warm. I have a naturally low body temperature but I did suffer a bit of hypothermia a few weeks ago which was not fun. This reminded me to bundle up before I go out. It was colder here in the Bay then it was when I was in England! I didn't expect that but we also needed some rain so I am happy for this. I enjoy all of the holly, Christmas trees and pine cones with fallen leaves everywhere. Happy Holidays and hold your loved ones close.
