This is such a fun, classic, gothic novel. The Picture of Dorian Gray has lovely imagery and imaginative language. Oscar Wilde did a great job at painting a spooky and eloquent picture of a man gone mad after corrupting his soul. It tells a tale of what can happen to a person if they sell their soul for pleasure, corruption and youth. Almost vampiric in nature, The Picture of Dorian Gray shows Dorian almost draining any goodness he had by his hedonistic, selfish and cruel tendencies. The story of a young, beautiful man painted by an artist who longs to stay young and exquisite looking forever while his painting decays, rots and bares the scars of the wickedness that is in his soul. I definitely recommend this gothic classic for anyone that loves a good, spooky read. The floral print cover was so lovely I had to have it. I found this one on Amazon for those who are interested but I am sure they have some on ebay as well. It was the perfect read to ring in the New Year. There are several huge changes that I am making. Some things have died away while others have bloomed. I cant wait to see what happens in the future and am excited for what is to come. I hope the year sees all of you well and with that I shall go and read my next novel. See you in February!

Thrillers/June reading: Sometimes I lie and Neverworld Wake
I am reading 4 books for June but I wanted to focus on these two because they are thrillers. I will be posting reviews and discussions on my youtube channel: Eternal Wynter so please check them out there. Are you reading anything fun this Summer? I love adult fiction and also young adult fiction. Nothing wrong with YA and Neverworld Wake is fantastic so far! It deals with the main character Beatrice and her group of friends who get stuck in a place called Neverworld after a car accident. A world they are not able to get out of and deals with the disappearance and mystery of their friend Jim. The story kept me on the edge of my seat so far and I can't wait to finish it. I definitely recommend this book. Sometimes I lie is a fun crazy story told through the eyes of a woman in a coma who can hear everything around her. There are twists, turns and surprises at the ending that most will not see coming. It is really fun and I hold a discussion on my youtube channel if you want to chime in and give your opinions, questions or answers. What are you guys reading this summer?

Current reading for May and new shoes!
Currently reading: The Woman in Cabin 10 by Rut Ware and Welcome to Lagos by Chibundu Onuzo. They are both very different and very neat books. I just finished Welcome to Lagos. It is fantastic with lots of colorful images and even better characters. I fell in love with the main people in the book and really enjoyed the friendship they all forged while they were on the run from different things in their lives. The ending was sad but kind of bittersweet because you get to see what the characters are up to as well. I felt transported to Nigeria. I definitely recommend this book. I am almost finished with The Woman in Cabin 10. A creepy fun thriller set on a boat with loads of twists and turns.
I was at a thrift shop and found these amazing spike stud shoes for only 5 dollars. Such a great find! How has your week been? I hope it is fantastic and you have an even better weekend.

Current reads: The Ghost Notebooks by Ben Dolnick
I currently belong to several book clubs. I loove reading and am quite the bookworm. When one of my bookclubs has a spooky goth-esque or scary story I will let you guys know about it. This book is a fantastic read. Told through the eyes of a New Yorker man who moves into a lonely, historic museum with his soon to be wife, author Ben Dolnick kept me on the edge of my seat til the very end. Loved this book so much! There was a cool twist that I liked right near the end as well. I hope you guys check this book out and enjoy the read! What rad books are you reading this Spring? let me know.
