The Cure

This Thursday my friend Shadow and I went to see The Cure perform. Robert Smith has always been one of my idols. I love him so much. His voice and music could be on the soundtrack to my life in highs school, college and present. Whenever I need a pick me up putting on The Cure always makes me feel wonderful, whimsical and lifts my spirits so it was no surprise I and many other people came out to support them this week. I dressed up and even did my makeup nicely for the occasion. It was so lovely and fun. We sipped on lemonades and danced to the music through the evening. It was wonderful because their encores are long and beautiful. They put on an amazing show and I recommend them to people who haven't heard them before or haven't gone to see a show. It was amazing and you get what you pay for. They had 3 encores. Robert Smith's voice is gorgeous. I hope to see them again one day. It was a dream come true.

Book Review: The Art of Gothic

One of my favorite books so far. Such a great read, very informative and would be perfect for guests to check out on your goth coffee table. The intro is fantastic! A lot of cool photos and media that will catch your eye and not leave you bored. I loved the author went into detail about the history of goth and post-punk. So rad! I think a lot of old school goths will enjoy this book and new and younger goths can get a good education from the knowledge this book presents.

Peter Murphy in San Francisco

The other night friends and I went to see Peter Murphy in San Francisco. He was amazing. It was a very transcendent experience. I had never had the pleasure of seeing him before so I was thrilled. He is so lovely. I also was excited to meet some of the members from The Blah Boutique. They played upstairs where I had drinks and dinner with my husband. They are a really cool band. I ended up getting their cd. They are super friendly and talented. I hope to see them some time in concert as well. Cheb I Sabbah, an amazing dj, opened on the main floor for Peter Murphy, followed by another band called Ours. I was excited to hear Peter Murphy perform songs from Bauhaus. I have always really like them and enjoy their music very much. Did anyone else get to see the show? If so please feel free to share your pictures and experiences!

Cheers!
