Shop Punk Rave!
Punk Rave is an awesome gothic shop with punk, Gothic Lolita and I first discovered them while shopping online. One of the really beautiful gothic pieces I own is from Punk Rave. Their shop is unique and their clothing is well made and can easily fit into many different goth subculture styles. It is hard to find gothic clothes sometimes that I like at certain shops but I have always loved their selections. They have some really lovely pieces that I can easily incorporate into my wardrobe.

Outfit of the day inspiration: HIM
I love the band HIM. They are a cool rock band that has been around for some time and they have an 80's/90's gothic influence to them. Very cool band. If you have never head of them check them out! I wore my new HIM shirt and combined it with my favorite fishnet skirt for a cool Summer look.

Lisbeth Salander style inspiration
Found a great vegan friendly store on etsy called Disaster in a Halo. I am obsessed with Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I love the books and the films. I wrote a great piece about it on my other blog Vegan Goth but wanted to share my pics of the clothes here. Go check it out. Lisbeth rocks! I lover her badass style and attitude and her punk/goth style. The Swedish movies are my favorite but I love the new English version too. For fans of the books and movies who want to cosplay or just own a bit of Lisbeth style the store is everything you would imagine. It is such a find. I personally would like a whole Lisbeth Salander wardrobe. I can't wait until the other films come out. Here is link to my other blog post also. The other post is a bit more personal and focuses less on fashion and more on the character of Lisbeth and why she means so much to me:

Outfit inspiration: Marilyn Manson
I have always really loved Marilyn Manson, his music and his androgynous, gothic style. I put together some outfits that were inspired by him. He is so awesome and has influenced me since I was a teenager. I love to draw portraits of him and do portraits of his cd covers. His art is amazing in every way I love his water color drawings so I recreated one with color pencils.

Gothic Decor
One of my favorite things to do is decorate. I love being of the gothic/alternative subculture. There is so much more beauty in this culture and interesting ideas for decoration. I love it so much. I recently attended a friend's son's birthday and I loved her decor so I asked to photograph some of my favorite pieces. She was delighted. One of my favorite things to decorate for is Halloween and also of course beautiful Yule. I celebrate Yule every year and I love juxtaposing natural things like holly and flowers with my gothic decorations. I would love to know what you all decorate with.
I loved her Alice in Wonderland themed decorations.
Beautiful Egyptian statue.

Girl with the most cake
I love mixing gothic and grunge elements in my dressing. I adore Courtney Love's new fashion collection at Nasty Gal. It is probably one of the more flattering and cool collections I have seen. I got quite a few pieces. They sold out of a few items super quick! I am so glad I got them when I did. I love the little tiara she had and the beautiful choker necklaces. The mary janes and baby doll dresses were a throw back to her 90's look. I just want to hang out with my friends, listen to Hole and rock out in this collection. You can goth up her dresses, pair them with fishnets or a long gothic duster coat. I can't wait to play around with the clothes. I don't usually do pastels but I loved her slip dresses and I will pair them with black coats or faux leopard print coats when I find the perfect one.

Happy Valentine's Day
Day before Valentines I held a gothic and fantasy author book discussion with my gothic group at the beautiful Cafe Venetia in Palo Alto. On Valentines today my darling woke me up in bed with breakfast and coffee. He surprised me with a small rose plant, a really cool gothic skull pillow and a vegan non leather skull purse. I got him some vegan cookies off etsy. It was the best Valentines ever. What did you do for Valentines with your loved ones?

Outfit for Nightmare Before Xmas symphony show
Tonight I am attending Nightmare Before Christmas symphony show at Davies Symphony Hall with my love. I found the perfect dress online! It is a burnout pattern of Jack Skellington heads on the dress. It is a lovely form fitting dress with a corset across the middle.

Outfit inspiration: Wednesday Addams
Makeup: I am already pretty pale so to look a bit more gothic and macabre and bring out my spooky eyes I blended some pink shadow on top and under my eyes, put a bit of foundation on and blended that into my already pale skin and put a touch of pale pink lipstick on.
Dress, Dolls Kill.
