New longboard

This past month I got my new longboard. I have several but Tahoe longboards remain one of my favorites. I love the way it feels beneath my feet when I'm riding. I am very comfortable with it. I like the new design. It would be cool to find a gothic deck hehe I wish! I am sure there are many out there but maybe someday I will ask for a custom gothic board or even something with Bettie Page. That would be rad :D I will be excited in the summer months when I can ride all day and night. I have to wait for the rain to calm down at the moment. I prefer rain and moody weather to all else except when I'm riding hehe. I hope you all have a lovely rest of your January.

In memory of June

I found this lovely black calla lily plant at Trader Joes. I had these in my bouquets for my wedding. I love black call lilies so much. They are one of my favorite flowers. They remind me of my grandmother who I lost earlier this weekend. She lived a long time and suffered from an abnormal heart since she was born. I helped my family take care of her for many years. Her heart was determined to make if through her life so it kept on until her 89 years. Winter is one of my favorite seasons because it reminds us of death and new beginnings. My grandmother and I shared a love for nature and fairies. I will always love you grandma.  RIP June <3

Happy Yule!

We celebrate the 12 nights of Yule and Winter Solstice complete with ale drinking, feasts and offerings to the Gods. What do you celebrate in your traditions? Solstice? Christmas? Hannukkah or other. I'd love to know and see pics of your celebrations. We usually decorate a tree. My husband is a chef and makes roasts for meat eaters and vegan roasts for vegans and vegetarians. This year we did a borscht soup to celebrate the night of the wild hunt and we did a raspberry vegan cake for Mother's Night and to honor Frigga and our female ancestors. I will continue to put more photos up in this post. I hope that you all have a wonderful holiday season whatever or however you celebrate. Cheers!

Delicious cranberry walnut bread warmed.

Lovely mjolnir for our altar.

I dressed up the day of Yule in this gothic skirt I found online.

Offerings of ale, oats. Candle light etc.

Skinny Puppy tour

Friends and I got together and went to the Skinny Puppy tour. It was awesome. We got there just in time for Youth Code and Haujobb later and then Front Line Assembly. All the bands were rad. I had never seen Youth Code or Haujobb before so that was a real treat. I looove Front Line Assembly and Skinny Puppy and have been listening to Skinny Puppy since I was younger so it was cool to see them perform again. I hope to see them for a third time in the future. It was a great start to my holiday celebrations. I always like going to Warfield. The staff is very friendly there.

Makeup Review: Lime Crime's Venus: The Grunge Palette

Love love love this. The colors are amazing blended in and compliment my goth attire perfectly. I wanted a change from my usual black and red or dark blue shades. It is important to me that makeup is not tested on animals so Lime Crime is perfect for me. I love their styles and shades. I can't wait to check out more of their makeup.

Check the palette out here: Lime Crime

Meeting Game of Thrones Linguist David J Peterson at Books Inc

Friends and I came out to see David J Peterson speak. He is the incredible linguist who created the languages of "Dothraki" and "Valyrian" from Game of Thrones. Meeting him was so much fun. He is incredibly cool and fun to talk to. I can't wait to see the next season.
