90s outfit inspirations
"I am Doll Parts".... |
Growing up in the 90's I was always fascinated by the music, style and pe
ople. Here I highlight some of my favorite inspirations from the 90s. At some point I would like to do an all goth 90s characters post. I will start putting one together with fun outfits. This post though I focused on grunge, grunge rock, indie, ska etc. From Courtney and Kurt to Gwen Stefani. Enjoy!

Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain. Dress, Courtney Love collection from Nasty Gal. Shoes, Converse. Glasses, ebay. Faux fur coat, Forever 21. Striped tee, H&M. |
Gwen Stefani If you were a child of the 90s you most likely knew a Gwenebee or two haha. Gwen rocked her eclectic rock style really good back then. Throw on some track pants and a tank top and pair with red lipstick for a cool throwback No Doubt outfit. Shoes: Vans, Skirt, ebay. Tank top, Forever 21. |

Girl with the most cake
I love mixing gothic and grunge elements in my dressing. I adore Courtney Love's new fashion collection at Nasty Gal. It is probably one of the more flattering and cool collections I have seen. I got quite a few pieces. They sold out of a few items super quick! I am so glad I got them when I did. I love the little tiara she had and the beautiful choker necklaces. The mary janes and baby doll dresses were a throw back to her 90's look. I just want to hang out with my friends, listen to Hole and rock out in this collection. You can goth up her dresses, pair them with fishnets or a long gothic duster coat. I can't wait to play around with the clothes. I don't usually do pastels but I loved her slip dresses and I will pair them with black coats or faux leopard print coats when I find the perfect one.

Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck
To wrap up my posts about my trip to Seattle I wanted to write about something that is very dear to my heart. My love surprised me with tickets to the Montage of Heck film. This is one of the most poignant, true and beautiful pieces of cinema I have ever seen. It is melancholy, raw and amazing. I hope that everyone is able to get a chance to see this. Stoked I was able to see it while in Seattle. Brett Morgen and others did an amazing job in putting this film together.
If you get a chance to visit Seattle please do. This is an amazing city full of much culture, diversity, brilliant music, artists, delicious food, beer, coffee and such kind and down to earth people. I have traveled many places but I was treated with more kindness in this city than anywhere else. People are real here, down to earth and excited to tell you about their city's rich history. You will love the water and nature here. There are so many places to hike and venture out to. The music history is amazing... from Jimi Hendrix, to Nirvana, Melvins and many more.

They had these books for sale at the cinema so I picked one up.

Holographic Dreamz photo shoot
One of the stores I model for is Holographic Dreamz. If you are one of those people who like pastel, candy kid, goth, 90s, psychedelic, sea punk style fashion you might dig this. I love working with the designer. She has some brighter and also more dark pieces. She will be selling crystals in her shop soon too which I'm pretty excited about. Check out Holographic Dreamz here: Store
