Edge of Circle Books in Seattle

I think a lot of people will love this store. This is by far one of my favorite shops I found in Seattle. The staff there is so incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. Some book shops I have been to were a bit pretentious but not this one. I loved the energy here. There is something for everyone. Among other books they had Aleister Crowley books, vampire books, candles and some beautiful statues and jewelry along with much much more. If you love occult and Pagan shops you will be impressed. I was particularly thrilled that they had a good amount of Norse items. I found a viking ship and some mjolnir pendants which I adored plus they had a Frigga pendant, some cool runes and a Norse statues as well. I love that they had so much to choose from. Such a cool vibe and friendly place.

This Baphomet statue was amazing!

Hecate triple Goddess statue. Gorgeous!

Sooo much amazing jewelry. I wanted to buy it all :D

Loads of candles and oils.

A vast array of books.

Autumn is here

This autumn I bought some new spell and crystal books and found myself taking many hikes, having fall picnics under the trees. Looking at Brian Froud books over warm coffee and tea, picking up maple leaves to decorate my hearth and spending time with loved ones. What do you enjoy doing in autumn? What rituals, spells, mediations or prayers do you like to do? Fall equinox and everything that follows are the most comforting times for me and my family and friends. I love reading and talking about old Nordic tales. I love the rain, the thunder and the cool air that brushes against my cheeks, the wet ground beneath my feet. I am definitely a Winter and Autumn person. I hope you all have a wonderful fall and winter season and celebrate holidays if you do so no matter what your faith. I enjoy celebrating equinoxes, sabbats and other holidays since I have family of many faiths. My favorite things that I connect to are to celebrate the Norse viking rituals and festivals.  This year for Harvest season we put acorn squash, apples, leaves and candles on our altar along with one of my beautiful mjolnirs and said some prayers for protection and such. I wished for rain as well since we need that very badly and I also just asked a blessing for my husband and friends. I love celebrating Winternights and all the beautiful things to come. I have spent a lot of time in the woods lately.

Maleficent

Saturday we went to see Maleficent. I personally thought it was an amazing film. I loved the storyline, I didn't mind the changes..in fact I felt it sent a better message through out the film. Angelina Jolie was terrific. I definitely recommend this film to other people. It had gothic and fantasy elements through out the entire movie including dark and light fae and everything in between.. The costumes and settings were gorgeous. I put together an outfit that was inspired by the film. I hope you enjoy it.

Fantasy Faire 2014

We made our way to the Fantasy Faire this year in San Jose. We had such a great time. I hope you guys can come and check it out if you are in the Bay Area. My favorite were the dragons and fairies and these awesome booths with really cool felt fantasy characters and another one that had amazing gothic, steampunk and whimsical jewelry.
