Sandman by Neil Gaiman

I and many other Sandman fans have ben waiting years for a cool adaptation into film and show. I am so happy that Neil Gaiman wrote these and I have so much love and respect for him and Sam Kieth and the many other illustrators that brought these comics to us. Below is my graphic novel collection. Some day I would like to own all of the vintage 75 comics haha that is my dream. No pun intended ;)

Everyone will ask where I got this Death top. I got it from etsy

Neil Gaiman: The Truth is a Cave in the Black Mountains

Neil Gaiman is my favorite author of all time as many of you know so I was elated to have the privilege of seeing him again recently. We met up with friends in San Francisco and we watched Neil Gaiman speak and also read his book The Truth is a Cave in the Black Mountains to a string quartet. It was one of the most magical experiences I ever had. So beautiful and perfect in every way. I love the dark beauty to his writing. It literally transports me to a different place. It was wonderful because they had the art work images on a large screen while the music was playing and Neil read. Afterwards we were extremely lucky to have him welcome his illustrator for the book, Eddie Campbell out on stage. It was a pleasant surprise and I was so happy to be there. Truly a magical evening.

Afternoon with Neil Gaiman

My good friend and I went to see Neil Gaiman speak at the California Theater. He is one of the best authors hands down. His stories are amazing, fantastical, gothic, dark and whimsical. Whenever I read his books it transports me to a different time and place. His books have gotten me through some incredibly tough times and listening to him speak was a great experience. I tried to hold back tears but I couldn't. He is so lovely. I will always love and appreciate him. It was wonderful and I hope to go see him speak again some day soon. Some of my favorite books are Coraline, the Sandman Series, American Gods and Neverwhere. I love all his books I have read so far. I am still collecting more books. My library is literally overflowing with his works. I hope those of you who haven't seen him speak someday get the pleasure to and if you haven't checked out his books please do!

Cheers friends and I hope you had as amazing a weekend as I did.
