Nana Comics!

Nana comics by creator Ai Yazawa are some of my favorite comics ever. I am slowly but surely building my collection. I find most of these from ebay and amazon but some are gifts from my beloved friend. Nana follows the adventures of two women named Nana who are complete opposites and end up getting a flat together in Tokyo. There is music, fun clothing styles and I love all of their friends. My good friend looks a lot like one of their friends and he ended up getting me a few of these so that was sweet. I think you will love not only the fun story but also the aesthetics of the mangas. Let me know what some of your favorite manga series are in the comments. Much love to you. Fall is almost here!

Nana manga from various places, skeleton hand and rib cage figurines from Dollar Tree.

Nitt Witt Ridge

If you have never gone you should check out Nitt Witt Ridge in Cambria, Ca. We got a cool tour from an awesome artist and guide there. He was so chill and fun. It was so fun to hike up and check it out. My husband loves driving me to Cambria to check out different sites. We happened upon Nittwitt Ridge and had to check it out. The place was originally owned by artist and recluse Arthur (Art) Harold Beale. He bought the hillside in 1928 and spent next many years digging and building with only a pick and shovel. A lot of the house is made with shells and decorated with busch beer cans. It is wild. The new owner of the place has adorned the house with his art as well so that juxtaposed with the original artist's art is a total trip. Definitely experience it!

Shop Punk Rave!

Punk Rave is an awesome gothic shop with punk, Gothic Lolita and I first discovered them while shopping online. One of the really beautiful gothic pieces I own is from Punk Rave. Their shop is unique and their clothing is well made and can easily fit into many different goth subculture styles. It is hard to find gothic clothes sometimes that I like at certain shops but I have always loved their selections. They have some really lovely pieces that I can easily incorporate into my wardrobe.

Some of my favorite gothic dresses from Punk Rave:

Perfect dress for the club.

This dress has a very romantic feel to it.

I love the variety of dresses that they have in the shop that can fit with any mood.

They also have some amazing gothic jackets in the shop.

Go check out Punk Rave. Happy shopping! Let me know what some of your favorite pieces are.

EMP Museum haul

I saved up to get tshirts of some of my favorite bands. I pretty much got my summer wardrobe. I got a really cool Ozzy mug too so I can drink my coffee while I listen to my metal in the morning. I also got patches and buttons as gifts for some of my good friends. I think they will be happy.

Coffee and goth shopping in Portland

I started off my morning with a cup of delicious coffee from World Cup located at Powells Books then we grabbed food from the awesome food truck selection they have there. The coolest part about that is they have vegetarian and vegan options. I later checked out a really amazing vintage toy store today and a cool record store then later went to an amazing gothic/punk style shop I found down town. It was amazing and the girl who worked there was really cool and fun to talk to. I found some great gothic pieces and I can't wait to show them off. If you ever come to Portland and are looking for goth shops please check out Another State of Mind. My favorite goth stores were that one and Metro. Both have some great gothic and punk rock alternative type wear.
