Gothic cemetery/studio birthday
I love Studio Bon Giorno. My friend Phil owns the studio and I decided to rent it out for my birthday to celebrate with a bunch of my awesome friends. I met Phil and his studio through a member and friend in my goth meetup. His studio and the art there have many gothic elements to it and it truly is a wonderful place to be. I made it a goth cemetery/studio birthday. We all hung out at the studio for gothic goodies and wine then made our way over to the cemetery walk. It is so lovely at the cemetery across the street from Studio Bongiorno. Friends and I visit there often. It was special to us because some of my goth member's relatives are buried there as well. It was a nice over cast day. Towards the end it got a bit sunny but we managed. My family found bats at Williams Sonoma. I'm vegan so I did not eat any but we ordered non dairy pizza for me and there were plenty of hummus and veggies for me to snack on. I had a gluten free, vegan cake. It was decorated with marshmallows which I dont eat so I took them off. I hope my family finds vegan ghost marshmallows next year lolz The decor was simple since there was already so many gothic elements in the studio.
Phil let me pick some awesome gothic classics plus some metal like my favorite musicians Rob Zombie and Finntroll. It was awesome to have such dark aesthetics and get to listen to a rad sound track. My husband prepped the veggies since he is a chef. (I'm so lucky hehe) and my family helped me set up for my guests. My maid of honor from my wedding who also happens to be a professional photographer was there to take photos. She surprised me with that and between her and my guests we got some amazing photos.
We had so much fun! If you ever want to try something different try asking your local art studios about renting out the space for your projects or events. Most of them are really chill about it plus you can support a great local business! :D

After Halloween gothic thrift store haul
I found these awesome devil horn barrettes and gothic tights all for super cheap at good will. I love going thrifting right after Halloween. I think I got everything for about 7 or 8 bucks. Some items were a dollar or two each. So great. I hope you were all able to find cool stuff at the Halloween stores or charity shops. Let me know what fun treasures you have found.

Gothic Homemaking
For an early birthday present my mom brought me to Williams Sonoma and surprised me with a dish and mug set that was gothic themed. It was incredibly thoughtful and sweet of her to get me my own set. I was so excited. They were incredibly friendly. She got me a bat wine stopper, coasters and crow candle holders as well. The medallion plates came with a bat, a skull, a serpent and a crow. I am slowly getting my house decor to look more and more like the Addams Family and that is quite an accomplishment. I can't wait to show off my new set to friends and entertain them.

Affordable gothic clothing: Cats and Bats
Skull purse, Arsenic Fashions. Cross bone leggings, Forever 21. Black flats HM. Batty cat tee, Forever21. Choker, 4 bux on ebay.
The leggings were about $10 dollars or so, purse, very inexpensive and tee was about $13. I love affordable gothic clothing. I tend to find quite a few things when I look around Forever 21. Also you can always put items in your wish list and check back when items go on sale. I pair items together with clothing I find at thrift stores, in a cheap mall bin, on ebay or etsy.

Natasha's Attic
Friends and I took a trip to Natasha's Attic in San Jose. They have some amazing items there. What an absolute gem of a place. I recommend this lovely shop to others. We had such a blast looking through their unique items, corsets and costumes. The staff was incredibly friendly. I came away with a few items including a really cool skeleton dress which I will wear to my favorite tea parties and events in the coming fall months.
